Asus has launched their Formula Series of graphics cards. Two cards are available currently, based on the AMD/ATI Radeon 4770 and 4890 graphic chips. Asus says their Formula Series cards are inspired by Formula One racing cars. For those who want design exclusivity and the gaming enthusiast, the heatsink and cooling-fan are even aerodynamically styled to look like an F1 racing car.

For those who want design exclusivity and the gaming enthusiast, the heatsink and cooling-fan are even aerodynamically styled to look like an F1 racing car.The fan on these cards is claimed to be dust-proof, and better than those on reference-designed cards, thus improving the efficiency of the cooling by up to 33%, which translates into slightly better performance when the card is stressed by graphically intensive tasks. These cards are also claimed to be up to 12.4 decibels quieter than cards that use generically designed fan-sinks. This means a 30% reduction in noise levels which is good for those who want cooling without excessive fan rotation noise.
