This is because it has a 1.5 inch screen on the front of the camera to help you frame that perfect shot.
The front screen also has a few extra features and allows you to show a little animation to attract the eyes of children and displays the countdown in self-timer mode and also the shutter and function indicators if you want. It also has a 3.5 inch screen at the back ans its 12.2 mega pixels.
