Sure, a Motorola Droid-style glowing red eye sounds cool, but the iDroid app would not have actually replicated any Droid features. In fact, it would have been little more than an ad spewing marketing propaganda once you tapped on it.
The Motorola Droid is a great handset—it doesn't need crapware advertising to sell itself. Apple has a shitty history when it comes to app rejections, but yeah, I'm with them on this one. iDroid's creators, Swavv Apps, should have just stuck to Beer Pong.
