These days it’s not really a big deal to read about a yet announced mobile handset that someone has previewed. In fact we’ve come to expect it. The latest to make the cut is the Kurara touchscreen handset form Sony Ericsson. We had actually got news just a few days ago that this handset could easily surpass the Satio, Sony’s Ericsson’s first ever 12MP camera phone.
The handset has also been dubbed the U5 and is headed for stores sometime in 2010. Of course I’m sure we’re all eager to see Sony Ericsson’s first Android device the Xperia X10 that should be out before. In case you’re curious though a preview of the handset is already out and here are a few of the features the handset would come with. First off, it has a large 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen display and is loaded with an 8MP autofocus shooter that will capture videos in 720p resolution. It’ll be running on a Symbian operating system which most users could be quite accustomed to, however the previewer, in his comparison has mentioned that the U5 is speedier than the i8910 Omnia HD thanks to its Cortex A8 processor. It’s also equipped with a 3.5mm handsfree socket and will support external memory via MicroSD and not M2 cards as most SE handset’s do. Twitter and Facebook apps are also apparently on board for the social networker. The exact price is still a mystery.
