ZyXEL, famous producer of telecommunications equipment, has introduced their router, ZLR-2070S, which is the first 4G router of its class with support for LTE (Long Term Evolution) technology.


The 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) standard should replace the cellular networks, third generation (3G). Theoretically, a system based on the LTE can provide peak data rate from the base station to the client device in a 326 Mbps and the information from the caller is transferred at speeds up to 86 Mbps.

ZyXEL ZLR-2070S Router is focused on small and medium businesses, it can connect to the LTE network at speeds up to 50 Mbps (for outbound traffic). Internet access for external devices is carried out wirelessly Wi-Fi (802.11n) or through a wired connection (includes four Ethernet port).

The ZyXEL ZLR-2070S 4G router is supports DLNA protocol, also has a USB port which can connect a printer or external hard drive. Presentation of the new ZyXEL ZLR-2070S will be held at the next month, at CES 2010.
