Sports is a topic of huge interest to many – young, old, smart, nerds. Sports Trading Card Company Topps decided to boost their card collection and so released their new 2009 edition. It is extremely cool. They launched this funky new concept where the card when viewed through a computer camera becomes an interactive 3D animation using augmented reality.
The cards can display a small animated player who rotates around and moves on top of the card. You can interact with the player if you keep it on a flat surface. You can choose various actions like throwing a baseball at a target or catching pop-flies which will all be controlled using the computer keyboard. These 3D cards are available for baseball and football. More sports will come soon
